Who sells you Hindcast

Hindcast is made and sold by Guo Taihang, an individual developer in China, who publishes software under the name Faberforge. Paddle acts as the merchant of record and reseller: Paddle takes the payment, appears as the seller on your receipt, and handles any taxes that apply to the sale, under Paddle’s buyer terms, which the checkout links to. What you buy is a licence to use the software, not the software itself.

What the licence covers

• One person, on up to two Macs.
• Every 1.x update of the version you bought.
• The features that version has, for as long as you keep it installed.

Activating the licence on a third Mac releases the first one, so the two Macs can be changed. The licence is not transferable to another person.

The trial

Every new installation starts a 14-day trial with every feature, with no account and no card. When the trial ends:

• recording keeps running, so no day is lost;
• your history stays readable, and Export All Data… keeps working;
• Review editing, Rules and Export need a licence.

Your data

Your activity stays on your Mac (see the privacy policy). You can export everything Hindcast holds, and delete it, at any time and without asking us.

The law that applies

These terms are governed by the laws of the People’s Republic of China. Nothing in them takes away a right you have under the consumer-protection laws of the country where you live.
